The food is great but there is only a handful of selections for customers who are vegans. When you are cooking for example okra, pumpkin or eggplant, you can cook a small portion without any meat. Please be aware that a vegetarian can eat vegan food but a vegan cannot eat all vegetarian foods. Vegans do not eat any animal products. If you cook for example okra without meat but use chicken or beef bouillon (cubes) a vegan cannot eat that food. If you feel that you will not get many customers who eat meatless food if you put up a big sign by the cashier stating "coming soon we will have meatless selections for vegetarians and vegans" I don't think your food would waste. Thanks for possibly embracing a meatless lifestyle Maybe you will become vegan after this....LOL

The food is excellent and comforting, the service was good the staff was pleasant.. the ambulance was calm.

Another neighborhood gem, small but the food is tasty. Let me first warn you though, don't be in a rush or pressed for time. They are soooo slow! You can't sit and eat here it is truly a to-go spot. The Roti is always fresh. Traditional Guyanese food, just have some patience.

Food is good here. Business hours not accurate however. Parking id say is not the best. If you want to get in , and get put of here quickly don't come during rush hour. Often long wait for food here.

Best Black Pudding Best Pastries Food is delicious it like being in Guyana get a ticket

This is my go-to spot for Guyanese style cuisine in Brooklyn when my mother is not available. I go specifically for the following items which are consistently made well and to my liking: (1) Roti.... always flaky (2) Dhal puri.... you can taste the geera (3) Black pudding.... flavorfully spicy (4) White pudding.... you can taste the coconut milk (5) Pholouri.... mango sour compliments it well The above items are made and seasoned very similar to how my mother would make them if she had the time. They involve a lot of time/steps and would be first items that you would consider ordering especially if you are having a function for Guyanese people. Given that, call about a week in advance to place your large group orders and before to schedule your pickup for a couple hours before your event start time. Unfortunately, they are infamously known for their less than awesome customer service from workers who more often than not wear a permanent scowl. Let's be honest though they aren't always pleasant, my order is usually accurate. Now they even take debit cards with a $10 minimum and have opened up a second register on the right hand side of the shop for orders of 5 items or less. Craving Guyanese food or pastries while in Brooklyn then I definitely recommend that you come here but come with lots of patience. The lost a star because they need to prepare the rest of their food with as much consistency as the above items.
